Give Me a Real Break
Throughout our semesters in school we are blessed with breaks, or days off from school. In our fall semester we have two breaks that occur, Fall Break and Thanksgiving break. Both of these breaks are appreciated and much needed. But what should a break from school consist of? When you hear the word break what do you think of? The term 'break' can be defined as a pause in work or an activity or event, in our case it is a pause in school for a few days. So when on a break from school, the last thing you should be or have to be thinking about is school. But yet we still do, and why is that? Could it have something to do with the a constant worry about future work that needs to be completed? Or maybe it is the work that is given to us during our break? There is always work to be done during the school year and when going on break and coming back school is still there, all students know this. So I do not understand why some professors (not all) feel the absolute need to give out assignments over our breaks. If these breaks were designed as a destress from classes then why are we given assignments to complete? On a break school work should be the last thing on our mind, breaks should be a pause in our daily stressors. They shouldn't just be considered extra days to complete assignments.

Where do you want to go?
I've been recently asked the same question several times, and that is do you want to go graduate school? And my answer to this is usually a yes, but not a very enthusiastic one. I honestly do want to go to graduate school, but at this current moment I have no idea what for. So yes, but not just yet. I feel like I am a better at working that I am at school, at I've always been like that. So I want to take a year or so off from school and actually work. Then I can find out for myself exactly what I want to do. Then I'll go to graduate school. There is just one thing that I am afraid of and that is that I will not want to go back to school. So this is something I need to think about, but not just yet.

End of the Semester Stress
As the semester winds down and is coming to a close I have noticed throughout my time in college that professors love to give a plethora of time consuming assignments that stress us out beyond compare. Once an assignment is handed in another one is given out that same day as if we didn't have 6 other projects that we need to worry about that same week. I understand that professors need to look for a way to give out points during the semester if things don't necessarily go to plan. But we are told as students to be prepared for the unexpected and to be able to adapted to classes. Why can't the same rules be applied to professors? Why can't they plan out their semester and be prepared if something doesn't go to plan? After Thanksgiving break we have one week of classes and then finals begin. We are told to be well prepared for our finals and study as hard as we can. But it is very difficult to study and do projects for all of our classes if all of these projects are being given out at once. But that's just my opinion and a look inside the mind of a student.
